It is the thought that counts. That is what we tell ourselves when someone with good intentions doesn’t quite come through with their intended purpose. And as we are all sinful and prone to failure, oftentimes we just make matters worse by trying to help out. This is surely the case with Job’s friend, Eliphaz. By trying to offer worldly wisdom to remedy a spiritual situation, Eliphaz merely pours salt on the wounds of his friend. Covers Job 4–7.
